Abstract

609,920. Binding-posts; cable bushing. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and LEE, E. C. March 25, 1946, No. 9164. [Classes 36 and 38 (i)] A terminal for an electrical component enclosed in a metal casing 1 comprises a resilient washer 6, held compressed in an aperture in said casing between a ceramic bush 3 and an insulating washer 7 on the outside and inside respectively of the casing. The clamping may be effected by a rivet 11 passing through apertures in the bush and washers. Terminal tags 9, 10 are clamped by the rivet against the top of the bush and the lower face of the washer 7 respectively. Fig. 3 shows a modification wherein the rivet is replaced by a nut and bolt 13, 12, the bolt being apertured for the passage of a wire 15 sealed therein by solder 16.
