Abstract

725,928. Electric capacitors; mounting terminals. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Nov. 27, 1953, No. 33006/53. Classes 37 and 38 (1). A roll type condenser 2 (Fig. la), wherein one electrode 1 projects beyond the edge of the dielectric, has a non-circular washer 3 pressed into the centre of the roll and the remainder of the projecting electrode swaged over to hold the washer firmly in position, whereby a connecter to the electrode 1 is secured by soldering to the washer 3. In another embodiment (Fig. 2a), the connecter wire 4 has a formed end which is pressed into the protruding electrode edge, and held by swaging.
