[Class 44] [Also in Group XXXII] A tractor hitch mechanism comprises a housing on the tractor provided with a slotted hole to receive an upwardly insertable pivot pin having lateral projections capable of passing through the slots and means for locking the pin against rotation in a turned position with the projections supported within the housing and out of register with the slots. The housing 37 is apertured at 38, 39 to receive the pin 19 which is slotted at 35 and provided with a laterally projecting pin 36 to support a spring-loaded pivoted latch 40. The pin 19, with the latch 40 in the dotted position shown in Fig. 5, is inserted upwardly through the slotted hole 38, 39 and rotated to the position shown in Fig. 6 with the projections of the pin 36 supported by the lower face of the housing 37. Rotation of the pin 19 is prevented by swinging the latch 40 into engagement with a slot 41 in the housing 37.
