Abstract

626,277. Lamp - holders combined with switches. CAUDRELIER, R. E. Aug. 23, 1947, No. 23387. [Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group XXXVII] A switch suitable for incorporating in the holder 1 of a sewing machine lamp comprises a movable contact 12 carried on a conducting arm 13 loosely guided in a slot in a bracket 14, and an arm 18 pivotally connected between the contact 12 and an operating member 24 guided in a slot 22 in the holder. Terminal 3 is connected to the lamp pin 7 by a plate 10 and bracket 14 is connected to the pin 8, so that movement of the member 24 causes the contact 12 to make or break the lamp circuit at the other terminal 4, a snap-action being imparted by a spring 17. The casing part 26 is removable for wiring the terminals 3, 4, and the holder 1 may support a lamp shade (Fig. 4, not shown).
