[Class 38 (ii)] [Also in Group XL (c)] A permeability tuned transformer for use in a radio receiver (see Group XL (c)) comprises a primary winding 2 overwound to the same length as the secondary winding 7, which is tuned by the powdered-iron core 8. A tertiary winding 16 of substantially constant inductance is wound adjacent the end of the. winding 7 at which the core 8 enters.
