Abstract

625,295. Grain drying apparatus. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. OF GREAT BRITAIN, Ltd. (International Harvester Co.). Dec: 5, 1946, No. 36031. Addition to 624,102. [Class 34(ii)] Cool air is admitted to the drying chamber of the parent Specification at a position or positions below the level at which heated air enters the chamber. A suction fan positioned within casing 11 draws in air over the fan driving engine 17, Fig. 1, furnace 31 and exhaust gas passages 30, and through the grain via passages 24-26, and outlets 28, Fig. 2, the air being exhausted through conduit 16. Cool air is drawn by the fan into chamber 14 through slots 51 and 52, and is allowed by discharge rollers 44 to pass into the drying chamber 13. Furnace gases are exhausted from chamber 55 through valve gate 57 and conduit 16.
