624,265. Manure distributors. CLAY (WELLINGTON), Ltd., J., and CLAY, J. June 23, 1947, No. 16492. [Class 6(i)] [Also in Group XXIV] In a machine for spreading artificial fertilizers, a plurality of pans 2 is fed from a hopper 1 and is rotated by a shaft 12 driven through bevel gears 10, 11 from a square shaft 7. The shaft 7 is driven through a change speed gear of the type where a pinion 8 is engageable with any of a plurality of concentric rings of facially projecting teeth 6 on a disc 5 driven from the ground wheels. Rotatable members 3 are provided for discharging the material from the pans 2.
