[Class 12 (i)] A roller skate wheel 1 is mounted on its fixed axle 9 by a bearing arrangement comprising two cups 12, 13 fitting within cylindrical spaces formed in the wheel at either side of a medial web 2 against which the bases of the cups abut with such cups having their cylindrical portions, which engage the cylindrical bore of the wheel, internally flared to provide the outer raceways on which run balls 26 spaced by cages 24 and supported on inner races, one of which, 22, is integrally formed on a sleeve 20 adapted to fit over a reduced portion 10 of the fixed axle and extending through the medial web 2 to carry a second inner race 27 which is screwed thereon to the required position and held by a lock-nut 27<SP>1</SP>. The cups 12, 13 have nesting flanges 14, 15 at their central apertures. A cover disc 35 as described in Specification 621,382 of translucent material and having light-reflecting stones 37 inserted therein as ornament is secured in an enlargement 6 of the wheel bore. Re-adjustment of the bearing is effected by applying a spanner to " flats " 21 at the inner end of the sleeve 20 and tightening up the axially outer screwed-on inner race 27 by a pin spanner applied to notches in the axiallyouter inner race after loosening the lock nut 27<SP>1</SP>. The skate wheel can be turned end for end by reversing the mounting of the sleeve 20 and its bearings within the wheel bores relatively to the medial web 2.
