Abstract

621,338. Rotary fluid-flow indicators. STEPHEN & SONS, Ltd., A., and BLAKE, L. Feb. 19, 1947, No. 4790. [Class 110(ii)] One or more indicators provided with vaned rotors 21 are rotated by liquid which enters through tangential ports 20 from a manifold 6 and leaves through axial discharge ports 22. Each rotor spindle 14 is supported on a footstep bearing 17 and bears'on plates 13, 23 which seal off a glass chamber 25 in which rotates a striped indicator 28. The vanes of the rotor 21 are preferably inclined to the rotor axis.
