765,847. Rotary flow indicators. RHODES, A. C., and RHODES & SON, Ltd., B. Aug. 25, 1954 [Aug. 25, 1953; April 1, 1954], Nos. 23431/53 and 9638/54. Class 110 (2). [Also in Group XXIX] A sight flow indicator comprises a sight chamber having at least one transparent wall and coaxial inlet and outlet for fluids, and a rotary vane-wheel or spinner visible through said transparent wall and rotated by the fluid flow. Fig. 1 shows the vane wheel a rotatable about a transverse shaft, b, a transparent window being provided on each side of the chamber, and Fig. 3 shows an alternative arrangement in which the vane wheel A rotates about a longitudinal axis, the vanes 3 being set at an angle. The spinner may carry means for interrupting light to a photo-cell to give a warning at certain rates of flow. Specification 672,613, [Group XX], is referred to.
