Abstract

729,660. Rotary flow indicators. TORKING- TON ENGINEERS, Ltd., and DUKES, A. I. July 27, 1953 [July 31, 1952], No. 19373/52. Class 110 (2). [Also in Group. XXIX] A liquid or gas flow indicator comprises a transparent tube, connected in the straightthrough flow line and a cylindrical rotor having a scroll on its curved surface mounted within the tube and visible through the transparent walls thereof. As shown, the transparent tube 5 is mounted in a casing 2 having windows 4 and jewelled bearings 10 for the rotor 11 are mounted on pins 9 secured to end-pieces 8 bridging the tube. The scroll 12 may have one or more starts and may be mounted or cut on the rotor.
