Abstract

An alloy consists of 15 to 19 per cent Cr, 7 to 15 per cent Mn, up to 0.1 per cent C, and up to 4 per cent of Ti, with some Ni, the balance being iron, wherein the proportion of Ti by weight to C is higher than 6 while remaining under 4 per cent of the weight of the alloy, and the proportion by weight of Ni to Ti is comprised between 3 and 8. The maximum properties of the alloy are developed after hardening at 1100 DEG C.
