[Class 110(iii)] In a gas turbine plant with three-stage turbines, the high-pressure turbine drives the high-pressure compressor, the low-pressure turbine drives the low-pressure compressor and 'the intermediate pressure turbine provides useful power. Reheating is provided between all the turbine stages and the air is pre-heated by the turbine exhaust. Solid, liquid, or gaseous fuel may be used. Gaseous fuel is compressed in a two-stage compressor and is tapped at points suited to the pressure in the re-heating combustion chambers. The compressed fuel gas is pre-heated by the turbine exhaust. The total compression ratio is not less than eight and at full load the compression ratio of the low-pressure compressor is greater than that of the high-pressure compressor.
