620,952. Finger - stretching appliances. BOLLIGER, O. Feb. 4, 1947, No. 3305. [Class 81(ii)] A splint 1 strapped or buckled to the forearm has individual finger-splint extensions 9 swingably mounted thereon, each consisting of a strip of ductile material bendable to suit the therapeutic requirements, each finger-splint being provided with tensioning means 17, 19. Downwardly directed side flanges 3 at the front of the splint 1 carry a rod 4 with clamps in which take rods 10 held in position by set screws 11. The holes in the clamps, through which the rods 4, 10 pass at right angles, are of oval shape and intersect so that each set screw 11 simultaneously tightens the clamp on the rod 4 and the rod 10 in the clamp. A further splint extension 12 is arranged for the thumb. Stretching wires 18 with springs 19 pass over pulleys 17 mounted at the end of each strip and hook into holes in the rods 10.
