620,567. Regulating; starting. SOC D'APPAREILS DE CONTROLE ET D'EQUIPEMENT DES MOTEURS S.A.C.E.M. June 5, 1945, No. 14134. Convention date, Aug. 1, 1942. [Classes 7 (v) and 7 (vi)] In a two-stroke motor-cycle engine wherein a lever 8, connected by a link 7 to the throttle valve 5 opens a decompressor valve 12 to put the combustion chamber into communication with the exhaust 4 when the throttle valve 5, operated from the control lever 16, is closed and a spring 20 urges the linkage to open the valve 5 and allow the valve 12 to close, a lever 18 carrying a stop 19 limits the maximum opening of the throttle valve 5. The lever 18 and a control lever 16 may be carried on the same pivot 17 and placed in close proximity to the brake lever. The lever is clamped by a nut between spring washers and a shouldered ring on which the lever 16 is freely rotatable.
