Abstract

A creep-resisting alloy steel has the following composition: C up to 1.5 per cent. Si up to 2.0 per cent, Mn 1.0 to 10.0 per cent, Cr 12.0 to 20.0 per cent, Ni 15.0 to 35.0 per cent, Mo 1.5 to 6.0 per cent, Nb 1.0 to 5.0 per cent, Co 4.0 to 40.0 per cent, Fe the remainder at least 10.0 per cent. The alloy may be used for components of gas turbines required to operate at temperatures up to 850 DEG C. under high stress. Specification 577,892 is referred to.
