[Class 120(i)] In a gill drawing, roving or like frame comprising spaced endless conveyers and a guide means, the conveyers. being so located and driven that they engage and remove the fallers C at the end of the working.path and substantially at right angles. thereto and carry them round the guide means to insert them at the beginning of the working path and substantially'at right angles thereto, each endless conveyer consists of a flexible chain G. As shown, Fig. 5, fallers C are carried along the working path by means of a pair of screws, E, Fig. 2, engaging the ends F of the fallers, and are supported on an angle bar K. On approaching drawing roller A the faller S ends enter recesses in the links of conveyer chains G which carry the taller along a fixed cam race H, H' and return them to engage the screws E at the beginning of the working path. The faller ends may be shaped as shown in Fig. 2. or may alternatively be cranked in the reverse direction to that shown, the conveyer chains engaging the body of each faller between the gill pins and the faller ends. Guide bars N are provided to force the fallers clear of the chain links and i eengage them with screws E. In a modification, screws E are dispensed with and the faller ends are modified accordingly and thickened to equal the pitch of the fallers. The faller ends are then in contact along the.upper path and transmit to each other the push received from the chain rollers as the latter are forced between the faller ends and further inclined guide bars U.
