Abstract
618,732. Electromagnetic relays. AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC LABORATORIES, Inc. Nov. 23, 1946, No. 34793. Convention date, Nov. 23, 1945. [Class 38 (v)] The armature 13 of a relay is pivoted to the heel-piece 6 by means of a yoke 8 having a pair of rounded ears 14 which form bearings for the pivot-pin 11 that is securely fastened to the armature. A reinforcing section 15 also extends between the ears but is slightly out of alignment with the bearing surfaces so as to be clear of the pin 11. In assembling, a bronze plate 7 is first placed on the heel-piece 6 and then the yoke 8 with pin 11 in position is clamped into position by the screw 10. Specification 618,731 is referred to.
