617,120. Strainers. BAILDHAM, E., and HENSON, S. R. Aug. 15, 1946. No. 24267. [Class 45] A wire strainer for fencing or the like com prises a cylindrical meta rod 9 transversely mounted on a post witt its ends projecting or either side, one end of the rod having a dia metrical bore 9a for re ceiving the end of the wire 8, and the other end 9b of the rod being adapted for rotation by a box spanner, while the central portion of the rod is provided with one or more diametrical bores 9c for a detachable locking pin 12. The rod is mounted in a bracket 10 either of the saddle type or of the kind having a circular bore. In a modification, the rod may be mounted in two eyelets screwed into the post. The wire may be stapled to the post after tensioning.
