Abstract
682,814. Drying trays. WILSON, E. G. Aug. 3, 1951 [Aug. 3, 1950], No. 19364/50. Class 34 (ii) A tray for drying gelatine and the like has a rectangular frame including side and end components a, b supporting a base of wire mesh d, the said components being of tubular metal and so connected as to permit rotary adjustment thereof to vary the tension on the wire mesh the ends of which are secured in apertures in the components a, b. Securing means c at each corner comprises a base block c<SP>1</SP> with recess c<SP>2</SP>, an intermediate block c<SP>3</SP> with recess c<SP>4</SP> and at right angles thereto a recess c<SP>5</SP>, and a capping block c<SP>6</SP> with a recess c<SP>7</SP>, the frame components b having slots b<SP>2</SP> and the components a having holes a<SP>2</SP> and recesses a<SP>3</SP> so that the assembly is locked together by a bolt e and nut. When the nut is slackened members b can be rotated to tighten the mesh d. To provide for stacking the trays one upon another each base block c<SP>2</SP> has a socket c'‹ into which can fit a spigot c<SP>11</SP>of the tray underneath.
