907,263. Screw-sockets. GOODMAN Ltd., GEORGE. May 3, 1960 [June 25, 1959], No. 21796/59. Class 89 (1). A screw-socket comprises a synthetic resin, e.g. nylon, cylindrical sleeve 10 with a head 12 at one end, a part 15 of non-circular section adjacent the head and projections 16 extending from part 15 and spaced from the head. In use, the socket is pushed through a non-circular hole 13 in a member 14, or two or more members to be secured together, so that part 15 prevents the socket turning and the projections hold the socket in the hole. A screw is then engaged in bore 22 and tightened to expand the sleeve. The head 12 and part 15 may be of square cross-section.
