875,238. Bolt-anchors. RAWLPLUG CO. Ltd. April 20, 1960 [April 22, 1959], No. 13756/59. Class 89(1). A bolt-anchoring device comprises a radially-expansible sleeve 2 and externally tapered expansion members 3, 4 therewithin, said members engaging a bolt 5 and internally-tapered parts 18, 21 of the sleeve, whereby they are moved apart axially by turning the bolt to expand the sleeve. The sleeve consists of segments 1 held together by expansible wire clips engaging grooves 8. Member 3 is a solid frustoconical plug abutting the end of the bolt and member 4 is a cylindrical nut engaging the bolt threads and formed with tapered surfaces 13 to co-operate with surfaces 21. Grooves 14 receive necks 10 on the segments so that the nut cannot turn relatively to the segments.
