Abstract

617,050. Two-part couplings. ARNOLD, C. L., DOWSETT, R. W., and M. K. ELECTRIC, Ltd. Sept. 27, 1946, No. 28964. [Class 38 (i)] A socket for receiving rectangular plug pins comprises two resilient jaws 4, 9 slightly inclined downwardly towards one another and flexible about their upper and lower ends, respectively, and having parts 2, 8 secured to a base 11 by a terminal block 12. The jaw 4 forms one limb of a U-shaped member having a rectangular pin-entry opening in the part 5 in which a leading-in portion 10 of the other jaw 9 extends. Outward flexing movement of the jaws 4, 9 is limited by a lug 14 on the base 11 and the limb 3 of the U- shaped member, respectively. Specifications 402,474 and 420,700 are referred to.
