616,665. Cutting profile bars. JACKSON, A. N. Sept. 20, 1946, No. 28191. [Class 83 (iv)] In a machine for shearing section-bars, a cutting blade is pivoted to an actuating lever and is guided for straight line motion at one end. A member A is oscillated about a pivot a by cam means A<SP>1</SP> and is apertured to house with clearance a blade carrier C pivoted to the member A on a pin a<SP>1</SP>. The bottom of the blade carrier carries projections C<SP>1</SP> guided for straight line motion in slots D in the main frame. A further blade E may be mounted on the member A.
