618,081. Hedge cutter. PEACOCK, R., and HANNAY, A. Oct. 17, 1946, No. 30908. [Class 6 (ii)] A movable blade 3 and fixed blade 2 are mounted on base plate 1 so that blade 3 reciprocates over blade 2 guided by pins 4 and slots 5. The blade is reciprocated by a motor 8, mounted on the base plate, through gear-box 9, shaft 14, crank 15, connecting rod 16 to rod 13 mounted in bracket 12 on the blade. Handles 11 and power leads B are also provided. Both blades may be reciprocated relative to the base plate. According to the Provisional Specification interengaging guide plates are mounted on the fixed and movable plates.
