615,698. Inhalers. BERG, W. VAN DEN. Aug. 7, 1946. No. 23402. Convention date, July 27, 1940. [Class 81 (ii)] An inhaler comprises a reservoir 1 for receiving a liquid, e.g. solaesthin provided with a closure member, an air intake regulating device for more or less connecting the space above the liquid with the atmosphere, a mask or hood 11 connectible with the space, and a tube 15 which extends to the bottom of the reservoir and has its other end open to the atmosphere. The regulating device, which with the closure member may form a single unit, may have a raised central part 5, the upstanding rim 6 of which may be provided with one or more openings 7 coinciding with surrounding openings 16 in a rotatable ring 17. The closure may be provided with a coupling means 9 for attaching a hose 10 and a mask 11. The tube 15 is also mounted on the closure member so that the regulating device, tube 15, hose coupling and closure member may be removed as a whole. Valves, if desired, may be mounted on the inner side of rim 6, and a slidable member or valve may be used instead of the ring 17.
