614,483. Side-car bodies. CLARK, A. T. July 15, 1946, No. 21095. [Class 108 (i)] A side-car for a motor cycle, pedal cycle, or the like, has a pair of identical side frames formed from angle-section members a and b, butt-jointed by metal blocks at points a<SP>1</SP> and a2. The side frames are secured together at front and rear ends by angle-section cross-members g, h, i, k, land m. Inverted U- shaped angle-section frames c and e, which project above the profile of the side frames, are jointed between upper and lower side frame members by means of metal blocks d and f, and above by metal blocks n and o. Metal plating p, secured by rivets, screws or welding, covers the whole framework except for the seat aperture. By fitting additional U-shaped frames provision may be made for extra seats or a stowage compartment beneath the rear coaming. By complete removal of the rear inverted U-frame, the body may be adapted for use in motorcycle combination competitions.
