611,202. Spraying-machines. PEARCH, L. C. April 25,1946, No. 12497. [Class 69 (iii)] The frame of nozzle-carrying pipes c, d, c of an orchard spraying-machine is oscillated about a horizontal axis i and also swivels about a vertical axis formed by the attached support pipe g being swivelable in its socket h. The oscillating motion is obtained from a cam on a driven shaft rocking a, lever m pivoted at n, the degree of oscillation being variable by placing the fulcrum pin n<1> in one or other of holes in a block o with corresponding selection of one of the holes m<1> and to receive the pivot pin of the fork n. Swivelling motion is obtained by a cam groove k<1> and follower pin l which rocks the lever m along the pivot n<1> and communicates this swivelling motion to the frame at r. A combined motion may also be obtained without a cam groove by a radial link w pivoted to the tank b at y, Fig. 3, and coupled to the support pipe g through a crank-arm x.
