Abstract
610,894. Roof guttters. HONIKMAN. A. H. April 17, 1946. Nos. 11916 and 11917. Convention dates. April 23. 1945, and March 4, 1946. [Class 20(iv)] A roof gutter of asbestos, wood. clav. plastic &c. comprises sections with ends F, G, respectively of spigot and socket formation so that adjacent sections can be flush-jointed with concealed laps; the length of the socket portions exceeds that of the spigots so that varying amounts of the surplus may be cut off to leave the gutter length required. The space along the base between the spigot end and the root of the socket may be filled by a precast slab or by cement &c. cast in situ. A base flange or projection J is engaged by a base plate M and the upper part by a clamp L. Reinforcing cross struts K are fitted in grooves formed at intervals in the inner faces of the gutter walls and support a grid O. To provide for a fall, the supporting surface of a base member on which the gutter rests may be inclined.
