Abstract

609,188. Holders for discharge tubes. BENN, A., and ALLEN, H. G. March 8, 1946, No. 7314. [Class 38 (i)] A multiple socket connector, e.g. a valveholder comprises a resilient insulating body 1 into which socket members are moulded, each comprising a resilient bifurcated socket portion 5 located within a hole in the body and a downwardly extending contact wire 4. The central portion 3 of each socket, which is the portion moulded in the body, has circumferential grooves 6 as set forth in Specification 609,189, to ensure an hermetic seal between the socket and the body. The latter may have a central hole 7 to receive a valve locating peg, the hole having a channel 8 containing a contact 12 which receives and contacts a flange or key on the locating peg, said contact 12 being connected to a metal plug 9 moulded in the body at the base of the hole 7, similarly to the socket members. A reinforced mounting flange 14 is also provided in the body and a sealing gasket may be placed between it and a panel and also on the upper surface of the holder on which the valve may seat.
