Abstract

608,737. Screw conveyers. INTERNATIONAL COMBUSTION, Ltd., and MATHEWS, R. Feb. 28, 1946, No. 6313. [Class 78 (i)] In a screw conveyer for use in bunker feed stokers of the kind in which the screw rotates in a metal trough located within the bunker, means are provided for rotating the trough through an angle of 180 degrees when it is desired to cut off the supply of coal from the bunker. The trough b is provided with trunnions c mounted in brackets d. A false plate e is fitted into the coal bunker providing a space f which extends laterally and beneath the trough. A door g mounted in a framing h of the device gives access to the space.. For rotating the trough a lever may be inserted into a hole of the trunnions.
