Screws &c. are elevated singly from hopper 1 by cranked scoop 3 oscillating about axis 5 and are discharged along shoot 6. The shoot may comprise a spring scraper to scrape the screw off the scoop, and may co-operate with a cam on the scoop. The hopper may have a stirrer.
