[Class 75(i)] A spraying device, particularly for liquid-fuel burners, of the type in which atomization is effected by imparting a high rotational or whirling motion to the liquid in the neighbourhood of the discharge orifice 11 is supplied through a pipe 12 with circulating liquid under high pressure by a centrifugal pump 15 the inlet of which is connected by pipes 13, 14 with a point of low pressure within the device near the orifice 11 and with the delivery of a metering supply pump the supply from which into the circulating liquid is varied to vary the quantity of sprays discharged from the orifice 11 of the device. The metering pump draws from a supply tank 16. The metering pump may deliver to a region of low pressure produced by a venturi pipe inserted in the pipe 12. A cooler may be included in the circulating system 12, 13, 14 to prevent overheating of the liquid.
