Abstract

607,606. Propelling seaplanes. SOC. NATIONALE DE CONSTRUCTIONS AERONAUTIQUES DU SUD-EST. Sept. 12, 1945, No. 23559. Convention date, Dec. 18, 1944. [Classes 4, 113 (ii) and 114] A propeller 1 having an adjustable direction of propulsion is located at the head of the second step 2 of a seaplane hull. The axes of the blades 3 are spaced on a ring and parallel to each other and perpendicular to the bottom of the hull. The blades rotate round an axis 5 which is parallel to the axes of the blades. The direction of propulsion is chosen by adjusting the blades about their axes. The propellers may be retractable in flight. Specification 264,227, [Class 4], is referred to.
