607,208. Ironing-machines. STEVENS, A. H. (Electric Household Utilities Corporation). June 20, 1945, No. 15693. [Class 138(ii)] [Also in Group XIV] An ironing-machine is pivoted at one end on the forwardly-projecting arm 29 of an upright 25 and is provided at its other end with means co-operating with the upper end of a second upright 26 to lock and support the machine in a horizontal working position. Spring means 40 on the arm 29 partly counterbalances the weight of the machine. To adapt the ironing-machine for use on the stand, the knee lever 15 for controlling the machine is hinged at 16 to a bracket for operation in one direction and to collapse to inoperative position when folded down
