Abstract
647,589. Finishing fabrics. ZBROJOVKA BRNO, NARODNI PODNIK. Sept. 3, 1947, No. 24364. Convention date, Sept. 5, 1946. [Class 42 (i)] In a cloth shearing machine a displaceable rotating pile-raising brush 8 is mounted on pivotable levers 5 in front of the shearing assembly so as to be readily displaceable by the operator at the passage of a seam or the like, the degree of displacement of the levers 5 carrying the brush in the direction of the leading edge of a cloth tension rail 11, being limited by means of an adjustable screw 13. As shown, each lever 5 has arms 51, 5<SP>11</SP>, the arms 5<SP>11</SP> being loaded by springs 9 or weights. The bearings for the shaft 7 of brush 8 are secured to the arms 5<SP>1</SP> by screws 6 adjustable in slots, the position of shaft 7 being determined by screws 16. The axle 4 carrying levers 5 acts as a support for the cloth to be sheared. A handle 15 is attached to the arm 5 at each side of the machine. Brush 8 can be swung away from rail 11 when fabric is introduced into the machine, or at the passage of a seam, by depressing a handle 15 or by means of a pedal acting through a system of rods.
