Abstract
607,184. Fluid-operated switches. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET. Jan. 29, 1946, No. 2825. Convention date, May 5, 1945. [Class 38 (v)] The housing 11 of a gas-operated protective relay in the pipe between liquid-filled apparatus, such as transformers, and an expansion vessel, has disc valves 12 operated by eccentrics 13 on shafts 14, built therein, so that the relay parts can be removed with the cover for servicing without draining the expansion vessel. A byepass 16 permits " breathing " when the valves 12 are closed, and is sufficiently small not to affect the normal operation of the relay. The relay may be of any known type, having a liquid-level responsive float 17 pivoted at 18, and a speed-responsive screen 19 pivoted at 20.
