Abstract
605,898. Handle-bar control mechanism. WOOLER, J. Jan. 17, 1947, No. 34086/45. [Class 136 (i)] [Also in Group XXV] Means for securing a brake hand-lever 1 or like pivoted control member upon a cylindrical part, such as a handle-bar 2 of a motor cycle, comprises a ring or sleeve 3 adapted to be passed over the cylindrical part and having a transverse bore 4 through which a bolt member 5 passes and carries clamping members 6 and 7 which secure the ring to the cylindrical part. The control member 1 pivots on an intermediate part 13 of the bolt. The sleeve is provided at one end with a flange 14 which forms a datum ring for denoting the angular position of a rotary throttle control member 15. A horn may be operated by the contact of a plunger 18 with a terminal plug 20.
