605,153. Weighing apparatus. BRODMANN, P. Dec. 17, 1945, No. 34063. [Class 143] A weighing scales is characterised in that a spirit level serves as the indicating element, being controlled by a member reacting to the application of weight, the weight being indicated by the position of an air-bubble on a scale. Fig. 3 is a sectional view of a preferred construction, loaded, and Fig. 4 is a plan view of the same. Referring to these, the frame 1 carries a member 4 which supports a plate spring 6..The spring 6 bears cups 7 which accommodate supporting cones 8 of platform 9. A connecting beam 12 is bolted at its ends to. the middles of the ends of spring 6, and is connected by spring 20 to arm 19 fastened to axle 18 which bears the spirit level 22. The axle 18 is supported in bearings 17 in the free ends of stirrup 14, which is pivoted at 13 and has a tongue 16, against which bears screw .15, providing a means of raising or lowering the stirrup and hence adjusting the spirit level 22. A weight on platform 9 depresses spring 6 and beam 12, thus actuating arm 19 and the spirit level.
