Abstract
The invention relates to a composite metal sheet comprising a sheet of aluminium or aluminium alloy which has applied to it by a hot rolling operation a layer of a brazing metal consisting of an alloy of zinc and aluminium containing 50 per cent to 90 per p cent of zinc. The preferred alloy consists of 90 per cent zinc and 10 per cent of aluminium. One or both surfaces may be coated and in the case of one surface being coated with the brazing metal the other may be coated with pure aluminium. Two of the composite sheets may be formed by placing the brazing metal coated surfaces together and applying heat and pressure or heat and vibration. After hot rolling the sheets may be subjected to a cold rolling operation.
