Abstract

An iron or steel article is protected against corrosion by applying to it a thin layer of an alloy consisting of Zn 1.5-10 per cent, Mg 0.5-5 per cent, Al, with impurities, the remainder. The alloy may contain up to 12 per cent Si and may be applied by cladding (see Group XXII), spraying or hot dipping.
