[Class 44] In a fastener for detachably fastening two parts 10, 11, such as aircraft coverings, together and comprising a slotted pin 15 mounted in an opening in the part 11 to co-operate with a locking spring 28 mounted on the remote side of the part 10, the pin 15 is rotatable and axially slidable in the part 11 and an ejector is mounted on the remote side of the part 10 and is so arranged as to press the pin 15 to an inoperative position clear of the part 10 while itself remaining clear of part 11 so as to permit relative sliding movement between parts 10 and 11. As shown; the ejector comprises a guide sleeve 25 secured coaxially with a hole in the part 10 and accommodating a plunger 30 which is pressed by spring 31 towards said hole. To accommodate the locking spring 28 the sleeve is slotted diametrically at 27 and the plunger 30 is so slotted than when the pin 15 is in its inoperative position the plunger 30 extends beyond the spring 28 to a position flush with the surface of 10. Pin 15 slides in a sleeve 21 having an inturned lip 22 at its outer end which co-operates with a shoulder 23 on the pin to limit its outward movement. At the outer end sleeve 22 is provided with an outturned lip 24 or bead to engage the margin of hole or grommet 14 wherein it is mounted.
