Abstract
603,124. Pivoted doors. STEVENS, A. H. (Wread Overhead Door Co.). Nov. 19, 1945, No. 30984. [Class 20(iii)] For doors which are movable from a closed vertical to an open horizontal position overhead, a clamping member C is rotatably mounted on a pivot 7 spaced from the plane of the door at each side and the ends of door supporting arms 20, 21 extending perpendicularly to the door are adjustably secured in the clamping members. A prepared counterbalancing means comprises a spring 23 anchored at one end to a bracket 24 secured to the wall or ceiling and linked at the other to a rod or chain 27 secured to an adjustably mounted member on arm 20.
