Abstract

602,526. Drying materials or articles. SPOONER, W. W. Oct. 16,1945, No. 27015. [Classes 34(i) and 34(ii)] Material in long lengths, or articles on a conveyer 1, are heated by radiation from plates 2, 3 which are heated by hot gases impinging thereon from nozzles 4, 5, with high kinetic energy. The groups of nozzles 4, 5, are formed in one wall of pressure chambers 6, 7 receiving hot air circulated by a fan over a heating element 9 which may be a steam, electric or other form of heater.
