Abstract

601,080. Junction - pieces for pipes. WEATHERHEAD CO. Oct. 4, 1945, No. 25798. Convention date, Nov. 13, 1944. [Class 99 (i)] A junction-piece comprises two members 10, 20 adapted to intersect and be secured to one another, such as by copper brazing, the members having passages 16, 26 which intersect in a chamber of larger crosssection than the passages. The member 10 may be made from hexagonal ferrous bar stock which is formed at each end with a nipple 12 and screwthreaded for joints of the flared-pipe type, and is provided with a transverse bore 15. The member 20 is made from round bar stock, fits into the bore 15, has a transverse bore 25 and is adapted for jointing like the member 10. In aT-fitting one side of the member 10 is blanked off.
