[Class 108 (ii)] Means for securing an axle a to a truck or like vehicle comprises a substantially rectangular plate d having a central portion bent to form two converging slopes f, united by a curved portion g in which the axle is adapted to nest, the slopes being welded to the axle as at h. The portion i of the axle is slightly proud of the flat end portions of the plate d and a wheel (not shown) is mounted against a spacer-disc b welded to the axle.
