599,220. Electromagnets. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and MARTIN, E. H. B. Sept. 14, 1945, No. 23754. [Class 35] An electromagnet core structure has its laminations secured by a die-cast frame, the casting die being adapted to hold the laminations in position during casting. As shown, the core 1 is located by pins 2 and surrounded by the frame 3 which has fixing lugs 4 cast integral with it. Apertures may be provided so that the molten metal which may be zinc or a suitable alloy, can run through the core and act as rivets. Specification 573,203 is referred to.
