Abstract

598,223. Servomotor-control for hydraulic motors. BRITISH JEFFREYDIAMOND, Ltd. March 16, 1945, No. 8986/46. Convention date, April 10, 1944. Divided out of 598,187, [Group XXX]., [Glasses 69 (ii) and 135] A series of hydraulic motors are controlled individually by a bank of distributing valves as 243, 244, these enabling each motor to be started, stopped or reversed. The passages to valves 243, 244 only are arranged so that two specified motors can be controlled jointly or mutually reversed. The pressure of the liquid supplied is controlled by the throttle valve 270, which has a piston 273 having a restricted bore 277 and lifted by the pressure difference on each side of it to open the valve 274. The pressure at which the valve lifts is controlled by the ball valve 282, the spring of which is progressively loaded by the plunger 284. This plunger is moved by the final movement of the handle 300, the first movements of which open the valve as 243 &c. to which they are attached.
