597,751. Centrifugal pumps. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP DE BATAAFSCHE PETROLEUM MAATSCHAPPIJ, and PARK, W. H. Aug. 24, 1945, No. 21808. [Class 110 (i)] A pump adapted to remove gas &c. entrained in the liquid pumped comprises a rotating bowl 4, 5 into which liquid is admitted through an inlet duct 13, one or more scoops 18 which cut into the whirling liquid in the bowl 4, 5, a duct 16 connected to the outlet 17 for discharging the liquid and a passage 19 communicating with chamber 20 and pipe 21 to convey the separated gases &c. from the interior of the bowl 4, 5 back into the container 2.
