596,496. Bearings. MARMET, Ltd., and COLLINS, J. H. April 5, 1945, No. 8435. [Class 12 (i)] A ball-bearing wheel mounting on a fixed axle for perambulators or other light vehicles comprises cups g of right angle form inserted at the two ends of the hub h and providing cylindrical and annular races for the balls a which are held against such races and in the angle of the cup by a fixed inner race ring e of concave form in axial section, such ring being held in position by outwardly flaring ends f<1> of a sleeve f carried on the fixed axle; the flared ends are provided by slitting the ends of the sleeve and bending up or the sleeve may be divided axially to allow bending up of the ends. The cage for the balls comprises a short cylindrical ring d having inward extensions bent to scroll form d<1> to provide circular seatings for the balls.
